I'd say it's a good primer. Every part of the state is vastly different though.

If I wanted to plan a trip up there outside of the commercial, cruise type trips, what would you recommend?

I'm the outdoors type. My wife, not so much. Two kids, a daughter ~10, son ~3.

Not towards me. But our male will sit on her feet and give a nasty arse growl and bark if a unfamiliar vehicle pulls up. He's fn retarded protected over her. He has growled at me a couple times when I got up at arse crack of dawn to go hunting.(I sleep in out guest room those nights) I always forget shite in iur room so I wake her up anyways. His last trip to vet he got a mussle. Vet said he's just trying to show he's alpha male.

Really depends on what you want to see, and what kind of comfort level you have. Very diverse state, every region is much different than the rest. I'd certianly recommend a day cruise out of Seward, Prince William Sound or S.E. Alaska (Glacier Bay or Tracy Arm) and build around that. Danali, Wrangell St. Elias...so many options.

That is what I have a daughter for. She is a Vet. Piss me off when they go to rubbing the asses on the floor. That is when it is time for a house call.

I use the new all in one treatment ,heartworm, ticks and fleas. Don't know the name, but my daughter gives it to my dogs once a month.
