A few months ago I posted about a 50 bmg that was built by Mark Serbu and a well known YouTube personality. This is a video of the 16" version he made. It shows the operation of the gun which is the same as the 29" version.

29" version is for sale thru Serbu for around $1,000. I'm hoping to get one soon so I can do some accuracy testing and maybe hunting this fall on pigs. Stock and hand grip compatible with any AR parts

Holy hell! What's the point in making that gun that damned short? Seems like you wouldn't be able to hit the broad side of a barn with both doors open.

Recoil doesn't look that bad, but breach cap is a deal breaker imo

What? 9mm stabilizes in 4 barrels". 300blk stabilizes in 8". How much barrel does 50bmg need? I really want to know.

Eta, once a bullet is stabilized, it gains zero accuracy from additional barrel length. A 4" 9mm is just as accurate as a 10".

Sweet sweater. I'd think a gun like that would have a lot of tactical military uses? Armor piercing and other rounds in that compact gun would be nasty in an urban environment.

That would make a mean swamp/ brush gun, would be dangerous as heck. I could see some dog hunters using it lol.

With the shorter barrel you'd lose velocity. However, a 740grn pill still packs a punch at 2000fps.

Great for barricades though.

Would be a deadly compact woods gun for deer and pigs

A lever action 30-30 would kill just as good, shoot faster, be lighter, hold more rounds, be cheaper and eat cheaper ammo.

As for tactical use "in an urban setting" you do realize this utilizes a breach cap and has a rate of fire of about 1 per minute. This shite would've been tight as frick in 1800, but today is just plain stupid.

This isn't for tactical use. It's a cheap alternative for someone to get into the .50 bmg and not have to pay 7 thousand dollars
