Quartered towards me at 30...BOOM - no deer.

Hopped out after a while and had blood with a little liver where she stood.

Small blood trail into the woods that stopped after a while. Found her in a shallow culvert about 50 or so yards from the shot.

Last year on opening day of "primitive".

Did the same thing years ago and other than a few small drops there wasnt much blood. Hate those 45-70 Hornady rounds

Figured. Same thing happened to another guy I talked to. Not sure if I have heard of one dropping on the spot with that round. Good luck man

Absolutely no blood or hair where I shot her. I don't think there was even an exit hole. Never found her. Makes me sick

make sure FriendZone didn't find her first, field dress and place in cooler.

he only needs 8-9 minutes to make this happen

Six in this case. He won't have to worry about cutting the antlers off. I really hope this guy didn't go home after looking for a deer for a whole hour after finding blood...

yea. Me too. Ran out of time. Had to make a two hr trip to get my son from bus stop.
