I want one. I don't have anything in 10mm. I've looked at the following:

Glock Model 40
Pros: 15 round capacity
Already set up for rmr sites
Price $750+/-
Is a Glock -- reliable workhorse
Cons: has a Glock trigger
No model variety
Is a Glock -- nothing new or exciting

Sig P220
Pros: fit and finish of Sig
Great trigger
More model choices
Cons: 8 round capacity
Price $1200 to $1400 depending on Model

Colt Delta Elite
Pros: built on tried and true 1911 platform
Less than Sig - $1100.00
Cons: 8 round capacity
No model variety

Anybody have any experience with any of these? If so, what do you like and not like? I recall someone on here having a Colt DE and using it for hog hunting but I can't recall the poster? Bapple maybe?

I just bought the new Delta Elite at Cabelas for $999 It,s a powerhouse and will retain its value unlike a Glock.

I would shoot the block before buying one, 10mm will be a handful and with a double stack mag you better have some big hands to handle that

10mm verse a .40S&W. No difference, just easy to get .40 cal bullets.

The 29 is a nice gun if you get a trigger job, new aftermarket spring and barrel. My son has one and after some work, that is one very nice race gun.

Stock wise, I would go with the Colt.

I just bought the 40 MOS on Friday. I put a Leupold Deltapoint pro on it. It's a big arse gun but balances well with the reflex on it. Only con I can see so far is there aren't slot of holster options.

The 10mm is basically .40 magnum. The .40s&w is just a cut down 10mm. I know the 10mm has more stopping power which is why it is good for hunting small game and why the FBI abandoned it after developing it. I intend to hog hunt with it.

That's a nice looking gun. I haven't been impressed with Remington's QC in recent years. That is the only thing that worries me.

I also carry a glock 29. It's a pretty sweet little gun. Not too bad on the hands, especially if you're accustomed to shooting handguns. I wouldn't recommend it for a first gun, but I doubt you're asking about a 10mm for your first anyway.

I had a G20 Gen4 (somehow went missing from a hunting weekend with a few people) great gun I will probably get another - the reason I went for Gen 4 was it had the modified recoil spring - to be honest it was a very easy gun to shoot and was a good gun to have walking through the woods considering the amount of bears and hogs we have.
