Anyone have any idea where I might find some 10 ga 00 Buckshot in the NOLA Area?

Academy on Clearview doesn't have any, nor does Walmarks on Jeff Hwy

Would've been my suggestion as well.

If you are willing to drive maybe Bowie in BR.

Baw, it's hard to find. I stayed back ordered on midway USA over 6 months the last time I bought some online. Randomly, I found some at Nichols in Leesville a year or so ago, so I bought all four 5 packs they had.

All I've ever found is Federal. It ain't cheap either.

Ain't that the truth. Last I bought was at Buck Fins and Feathers in Broussard and they were around $20/box.

Okay, I'll ask. Are you hunting deer, hogs, what? And why 10 ga instead of 12? I've always thought of 10ga as a duck/goose specific.

Mine has been applicable hunting tight cover bow stands in a bottom after gun season opens up.

Deer

Grandpa gave me an old H&K Crack Barrel 10ga years ago. I always said I wanted to kill a deer w/ it. Never did. Now I plan on doing it.

way cheaper to load your own. get a Lee or MEC press and you can dial up a wide variety of loads.
I've just loaded a few 12 gauge ones that I need to try out this weekend - the new Thug Slug from BPI, a 3" buckshot load with 19 #1 pellets and a 3" buckshot load with 10 OOO

I had academy order me some of those federal's that were mentioned earlier. This was about 7 years ago. Not sure if they still do that.

Spot on bro. OP, make sure you're tied in the tree, I'm not bullshitting. I have a 10ga pardner and it will bring the pain.

It does. I shot one of the old 3.5" #4 shells that he had with it... holy jeebus!

Ha very true. The first time I shot a 12 gauge slug when I was about 12 at a buck I was sitting on a 5 gal bucket in a pop up blind and it literally put me on my back.
