W.Fel
44 degrees
Changed it up and got on a new stand.

My plans never work like they are supposed to. Had a cam up here in Nov and hunted it a few times. Saw a pair of yearlings a spike and had a pic of a 2 year old 9 pt. Haven't hunted it much since. A lot of pressure on this tract of land. Come in this evening with intent on making a meat hunt and 100 yards up the ridge from my stand is a fresh rub on a tree the size of my thigh. Def can't shoot a doe off this stand now. Big boy might be following her.

I'm switching it up too. Dressed appropriately now. Froze this AM.

Reading the posts on the outdoor board messes with eyes when I go to look out. Takes me several seconds to adjust my eyes , is this normal ?

Been in box since 3:20,Reading these posts.

Turning the brightness down helps. I put mine up at dusk though.

Almost shot a doe right at dark but remembered I didn't have any beer or whiskey. Wasn't gonna hang out cleaning a deer with no celebratory drinks. I'll be more prepaired tomorrow.

You didn't shoot because you had no alcohol

Yep. No fun hanging out at the camp cleaning a deer if I can drink and enjoy it. Cleaning a deer without having a drink is too much like work

I like to have a drink but it has no bearing on what I kill don't kill, do or don't do

I've never let that be a determining factor before. Think I was just trying to find an excuse to not shoot her.
