Two different sites with similar stories and that's not enough?

How about one from the UK?

Or maybe Russia?

Seep is "unrelated" according to latest reports. Some seeps occur naturally out there.

I thought I read that the one two miles away is natural seepage and not really an issue.

Most likely natural seepage, have they confirmed it is from the well.

Let Me Google That For You

Fox News

quote:

WASHINGTON -- Oil and gas are leaking from the cap on BP's ruptured oil well, but federal officials intend to leave it in place for now.

CNN

quote:

The pressures recorded on the well in the four days since it was temporarily "shut in" are lower than expected, Allen said. Meanwhile, there are possible leaks of methane gas from around the well and from the inoperative blowout preventer, as well as a separate and possibly unrelated seep from the ocean floor about 3 kilometers (about 2 miles) away, he said.

I figure that neither of these news stories are that big of a deal. It is ashame that the doom and gloom websites can't get their wish for something really bad and secretive to happening down there.

According to AP report today, "The federal government's oil spill chief (Thad Allen) said Tuesday that seepage two miles from BP's oil cap is coming from another well."

If the leak two miles away is from an old well, that would not exactly be natural seepage?

Also read there are 27,000 abandoned wells in the Gulf that aren't checked for leaks? Wow, if true there could be a lot of un-natural seepage in the Gulf.
