Reported in today's NOLA.com:

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said President Barack Obama's acknowledgment that he hasn't directly spoken to BP's chief executive shows it "bodes well to have some sort of executive experience before occupying the Oval Office."

Then, in a Facebook posting Tuesday, she outlined her experience. And she urged Obama to contact experts, including those in Alaska, who have held oil companies accountable. In parts of the state, the effects of the Exxon Valdez disaster are still being felt 21 years after that massive oil spill.

"Give them a call," she wrote. "Or, what the heck, give me a call."

Palin's latest missive is extensive, chiding not only Obama but also the media for not calling him out in his handling of the massive oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico. Obama, in an interview with NBC's "Today" show, broadcast Tuesday, said he hadn't spoken directly to BP CEO Tony Hayward because his experience tells him someone like that would say "all the right things" and that he's more interested in action than in words.

********
Didn't they get the MSM memo ... Ms Palin is an idiot, says "you betcha" a lot and isn't well-read, and unlike our wonderful Pres., doesn't smoke cool cigarettes and wear skinny ties and evoke images of the Rat Pack. But I tell you what ... I'd rather have HER executive experience dealing w/ oil companies than Barack's dearth of same. YOU BETCHA

What a wing nut, Palin is.

She wants Obama to call her?

Give me a break.

If she wanted to help, she'd have already helped. She'd have asked her contact to go and help out. She'd have done something.

She hasn't done jack, just like she didn't do jack when she was governor.

And trust me. La DOES NOT WANT what Alaska got after the oil spill. It took more that 15 years to get a settlement and there's still oil there. Fishing hasn't come back and people have gotten sick and died from oil poisoning.

Call Sarah? Nope, stay the hell away from her!

So nice, the MSM has created a bunch of brainwashed robotons, the lot of you. I don't dispute Palin has her shortcomings, but Obama??!! Have you heard/read ANY objective criticism of Obama's poor performance in this disaster (other than on the demonized Fox network?) Go right ahead and point out all of Palin's shortcomings, and there are many, but please also point out Obama's lack of ANY executive experience which has been painfully exposed in this debacle (and, as pointed out by Palin herself.) You see, there's a huge double standard in the MSM and the shortcomings/foibles of conservatives are magnified under a microscope, while those of liberals are ignored.

The President of the United States of America should call her?! Arrogant. If she truly has something to say that could really help the situation she should pick of the phone and call him.

Wow ... Bush was virtually castigated for not shielding the Louisiana coastline from Katrina's winds and water w/ his own body, and that's apparently fair commentary ... but all of a sudden we get all practical and have come to realize that a President can only do so much, and no, the President is not going to be involved at the level of cleaning oily birds. But if it were Bush ...

So if Obama "acts like he cares," that's better, even if he's too incompetent to ably handle the crisis? I'm telling you, as ridiculous as Sarah Palin is in some respects, she actually would be better qualified to deal w/ this crisis than Obama.
