This luxurious Georgia bunker is 45 feet underground, houses about 20 people and can withstand a nuclear blast up to 20,000 tons. But that safety will cost you.

Rather the zombies get me than have to live in isolation with such horrid furniture.

Saw that posted elsewhere, same property sold a couple of years ago for $395k. It was an AT&T switching station and someone purchased and remodeled into what you see in the photos...

Seems like most of the amenities in there would be useless without electricity. And if a nuclear bomb was dropped on top of it, how would air be fed through to it?

Yeah, but that's 20kt if you detonate on top of it. I doubt the Russians are going to be all "frick that guy in Georgia. Make his front door ground zero".

I wonder how close a modern blast would have to be to equal a 20 kt blast directly overhead. I'm lazy, though, so I'm not gonna do the math.

EDIT: Also, the days of the megaton class city killers are over. City killers are now only in the couple hundred kiloton range. When targeting wasn't so good, you'd need a megaton to make sure you take out NYC if you might hit New Jersey instead. Targeting has gotten MUCH better, and if you can hit Central Park at will that big, heavy, and expensive megaton class device isn't necessary anymore. So, it might be still be very survivable if it's not real close to a major target.

I like how it says it can withstand a nuclear blast. And then it goes on to say "it also MAY be able to withstand terrorist attacks and civil unrest".

Wat? marketing retards, if you say nuclear blast, you don't need to add any more safety tags. That's about as safe as you can get.

It's possible it will withstand a nuclear attack. It's still possible that terrorists or "SJWs" could get to you.
