Looking for a new bat for my sons birthday and can’t decide between a new marucci cat9 or a composite bat like a dirty south bat from Georgia.

I know the composite had a break in period but has a nice long sweet spot and a little more pop.

Any positives or negatives from experience?

You've got to start them on wooden bats or they'll never make it to the bigs

All those hispanic kids going to the MLB? play with wooden STICKS

Make a man out of him and make him swing an oak tree limb.

I think a T-ball bat is great for whacking someone you don't want to shoot.

just buy the most expensive bat that they have. that way you can never blame yourself if he doesn't make it to the big leagues.

I hope you make the right choice.

Kayden’s pro career is at stake.

Teach him how to hit first. I would invest in the axe bat youth swing trainers to develop bat speed first. Then get middle of the road bat for games.

Yep. Choke up on it with a firm grip and you'll be sending those balls straight to heaven.

Sorry your little Billy didn't make the team. My boy, Jaylex went 2 for 4 in the league championship game last night!
