Was that the biggest threat someone could make to a kid growing up in EBR during the '80s?

I seem to recall that one being big within parent, teacher, summer camp circles of the time.

Teachers used to love to make that threat. I knew one or two kids who actually ended up there.

As a longtime patron of LTI, I can safely say its rehabilitation approach works for me and my wife.

I am deeply saddened and offended you feel this way.

Basically Angola for juveniles, at least that is how it was portrayed to be.

What's wrong with a certificate of completion and a career in welding and/or cosmetology?

Father in law claims it as his high school diploma issuer after he got fired and blew up the bakery down town.

I have no idea what LTI is but from the few replies in here it seems like it was a great place to send the shitbirds. We need one place or school, multiple in larger cities, where we can send disruptive kids. Any kid that acts up on a regular basis needs to be sent somewhere that keeps him or her away from kids that actually want to learn.

Louisiana Training Institute, aka reform school. I don't know what they call it now or if it even exists any more.
