There is a Netflix documentary on the McDonald’s monopoly scandal called $McMillion$. It’s really good and explains the whole deal.

Jerry Jacobson was head of security for the company that printed the monopoly pieces for MD. He was the ringleader.

Not sure what you had to spell, I thought I remember it being coke. Was about 10-11 at the time and got all the required letters. If I remember correctly I got a T-shirt and was entered into a drawing for $100,000.

Well, that’s what my alcoholic step-dad told me anyway, never saw any money but did get to ride around in his Smoky and the Bandit Trans-Am!

It was awesome. One of the coolest things about it was when the FBI organized a photo shoot for a winner one year and acted as the production crew to investigate the person without telling him he is under investigation so the ring involved would be unaware they were on to them.

Hashbrown FTW. Best bang for your buck to get two monopoly pulls.

Was that the one where you had to peel the little rubber thing off the inside of the metal bottle caps?

That was it. I had completely forgotten about that contest until this thread. :gettingoldsux.gif:

I remember back in either the late 90's or early 00's they were giving away drink glasses with a combo meal. They had three or four different colored ones. I wouldn’t mind seeing that come back, they were pretty cool glasses really

Was it only boardwalk that was rare? I can recall getting Park Place on two occasions.

No, there was one in each property set that was “rare.”

Correct. Numbers in story is not how probability works. If it's a honest game, they're independent events.

The story behind the Monopoly fraud is interesting.

LINK

But now I truly hate this guy for ruining my chances at big winnings, and making it all for naught when I was a kid collecting the stamps. Like for real, frick Uncle Jerry.
