Sounds like he's preoccupied. Whether with work, another woman, or family stuff, that's up to you to decide...and if that reason is valid enough to forget your birthday. With no more backstory than what he texted you this morning, we can't help you.

If he was planning something for tonight you just ruined it, and even if he does do something then it will be because you had to remind him in your mind.

I'm pretty forgetful, but I always make a point to remember birthdays. I wouldn't go apeshit if I were you. Act like you aren't bothered by it and move on without him.

You should probably dump him and don't look back. You should have received at least a short sweet message early this morning to start your day off with. FB birthday messages don't count because they are way too easy and impersonal. Why settle for being anything less than a big deal to the person you give your time to?

My highschool sweet heart who were together for 6 years never remembered my birthday. We were 12 days apart ,always made a big deal about hers. Didn't even consider mine.But she was also a bi polar bitch that drove me nuts, still miss her.
