That is so damn sad.

Whatever happened through the course of this woman’s life to where she’s like this had to be something awful.

The American Christian of today is a COMPLETELY different breed than the American Christian of 2000. Their entire faith has been co-opted by politicians. Where there was compassion, you now find division. You're right in saying it's not every Christian, but things have most certainly changed. There are Christian intellectuals and leaders sounding the alarm bells, but their voices aren't heard by those who need to hear them.

It's good to read that you think the problem is with the people rather than Christian teachings.

That thing was loved by someone before it got to this point.

I’m afraid the only someone at this point would be God.

God doesn't love her either. This all powerful, all loving being sits idly by while it's creation destroys itself and others. That's not love. If you have the power to reverse it and don't that's cruelty and it doesn't deserve to be worshipped.

I believe there's something bigger than us and watches over us but it's not the God of the Bible. That cruel being allows the rape and murder of babies every single day since the beginning of humanity and has NEVER stopped it. It would thrive on it like a sacrifice.

40 years ago she would've been warehoused in an insane asylum until she died. Today, she will be "treated", eventually harm someone or herself, be a complete burden to society and its resources, and then die. At which time a social worker or family member will say "but she was fine when she was on her meds"

Regardless, I would start with a fire hose and bleach and work my up from there.
