First things first....
Can the wife claim she was set up, for legal purposes, alimony, child custody, etc...?
If so, are you an accomplice?
Think about the ramifications, both legal and moral, of your actions...

The reason why OP's friend wants to catch her cheating is that, in most states, adultery is a bar to alimony, which saves OP's friend a frick ton of money.

Even if this scheme is successful, it will not bar the OP's wife from getting alimony. The OP, being the paramour, would be deposed under oath and forced to reveal the scheme. Once the wife's lawyer finds out the sex was set up by the husband and that he encouraged it, there exists a valid defense to adultery, which puts alimony back on the table.

I would think if you went along with this scheme, you're probably cool with lying under oath

Because no one ever lies under oath?

You didn't tell us what she looks like. Plus, is the plan to actually frick her before he catches you? I think it's bad move that you will regret but it's a move you have to make for your friend assuming he would do it for you.

In any divorce and custody action the parties will have significant access to the internet history of the parties and the paramour. OP's thread would be found, another deposition would likely be scheduled to give OP the chance to correct his original lie and I doubt OP would want to go to jail once the scheme came undone.

This doesn't even take into account what OP's wife would do if she found out. No doubt it would come out in her domestic action against OP or in her search for evidence of the affair.

Don't be surprised when you hear him come into the room and he just sits down and wanks

If the wife is as bad as you say she is, then chances are she's already getting railed by someone else. If your friend makes good money like you say, then it wouldn't be hard to hire a PI to catch her without you having to risk screwing up your marriage. Win win

I had a similar situation (with a twist) about 10-12 years. I would go to this coffee shop near my house every morning and this guy kind of buddied up to me. Nice guy but very intense. He was married for like 15 years with a bunch of kids and I would see the wife show up there every once in awhile. One Christmas he suggested that I should come to his house and hangout and watch the kids open their presents. He caught me off-guard, as I said, I really didn't know this guy and mentioned the Christmas thing to a mutual friend. That guy told me that the married guy wanted me to nail his wife, I'm assuming the goal was to spice up the marriage or something but that's not my deal and I avoided him for some time.

Shortly after, he catches the wife screwing the hockey coach of one of his kids (the Scottsdale way!) and I ran into him that night. He went on a bit of a rampage, got drunk and crashed his Harley when he jumped a curb. The thought of that guy losing it after realizing some other guy was tagging his wife crossed my mind a few times. There's a happy ending to the story- the guy ended up marrying the TV actress/ex-wife of a famous rock musician and is living the good life, spliting time between Malibu and Scottsdale.

How about you seduce him, give her the evidence and she'll give you the booty work-free?

Everybody Rides!

My suggestion has as much basis in reality as your OP.

Sounds an awful lot like the plot of a film noir movie.

True story. My childhood best friend is in a marriage that he describes as loveless and sexless. They have 2 children and have been married almost a decade. He and his wife are both miserable in the relationship. She won't leave because dude makes killer $$$, he won't leave because he came from a broken home and doesn't want the kids to think it's his fault that their family split up. The other night, he came up with a terrible plan...he wants me to make a move on his wife so he can "bust" us, and blame the whole thing on her. I know how wrong this is. But it's my best friend that has done anything I've ever asked of him. Should I do it?

I'm sure part of "his plan" was for you to bring your attention whorey arse to TD.com.
