I've experienced all ends of the spectrum
Most fun I had playing baseball growing up was being the best player on my 6th grade baseball team that went 1-22. We were terrible, but it was fun. I was the only guy who got selected for All Stars from that team.

Best player on the worst team if we are talking professional sports. At least I'm getting paid the best and will likely be traded to a better team at some point.
