I mean if you own your island and fly your own personal jet into your own personal runway on your 10,000 acre ranch to have your own personal chef shop and cook your meals who gives a shite if someone recognizes you the once a month you go into public.

A famous NBA player or athlete that is 6'6 or taller would be the worst rich person to be because you can never blend in.
There's a ton of billionaires like 2,000 in the world and I might recognize 10 if I saw them in public.

I mean pretty much every billionaire is famous to a degree, so the question wasn't specific enough.
There's little to no reason to have less money. I've flown on a private jet one round trip, and it's pretty freaking amazing.
With a billion you don't have to go places in general public unless you want to. That opens up badass places for your enjoyment that most of the public doesn't even know about.
So yeah, I'd take a billion in a heartbeat

That is an interesting question. While I was going to say an unrecognizable millionaire at first, if I were a billionaire, I would be able to do more for different causes.
Whether I was a millionaire or a billionaire, I wouldn't want to have an extravagant lifestyle. but being able to have the resources to help more people would be the way I would go.
