Would you convict a mentality handicapped guy of indecent exposure?

I got called to jury duty today and that's the case that I'm on the jury panel for.A guy with a mental capacity of a five year old and was caught wacking it in the parking lot of a hair salon. I didn't hear testimony yet,but it would be hard for me to punish this guy much less ruin his life in the same way I couldn't punish and five year old for the rest of their life.

was he in a car or standing outside? If he was trying to use discretion, not sure what I would do. A five year old can be taught right from wrong and should still be punished for his wrongdoings. It might have been at a salon the day he got caught but there is no telling where else he has been jerking off in public and not been caught.

No, I wouldn't. I think that he is even on trial is immoral. A person like that needs supervision and is not responsible for his own actions the way a normal person is.
Also, isn't it extremely illegal and unethical for you to be discussing an open trial on a public forum like this?

Mentality of a 5 year old is what is said when a special needs person is in trouble. Trust me, I hear that crap a lot from parents.
The only question is does he know right from wrong? Which if he is alone in a parking lot and driving a car, he does. Don't convict him, he learns he can do whatever he wants and will do it again.
Also, a 5 year old wouldn't be jacking it.
