If what happened to Lebanon were to eventually happen in the USA (Islam overtakes Christianity as most popular religion), would you convert to Islam to protect your family if you were given the choice to convert, pay non-believer tax, or die?

Sure...but there is a flaw in your otherwise logical reasoning.
The flaw is that radical Muslims "test" converts to prevent exactly what you described.
You would have to learn the Koran, in Arabic, front and back and be able to recite it on spot.
Otherwise, they would kill you.

I'm again not dying over religion, which I'm not too interested in. I guess I'd have to know the tax amount. If it's too much of a burden on my family, I convert, and just read and learn all that religious shite that I still won't give a shite about. If it's not too much of a burden, i'll pay the tax.
Zero chance I'm dying over it since I don't claim a religion now.

Lets say the conditions were right for a radical ideology to take over our country. Some sort of cataclysmic event breaks down our government. I think we would see a rise of some sort of radical Christianity or a secular fascist dictatorship before we would see a take over by Muslims.
