My iPhone 13 has a feature that blocks 100% of calls that are not on my Contact List or to which I have not placed a call. Any blocked call can leave a voice mail message.
I just did this on my Android last week.. 100% recommend

I did this also with my 14. Seems like the best option.

A dead guy used to have the number they would give you so you’d just get his calls.

People call trying to buy my house. I’ve been telling them that the owner of the house they are trying to buy murdered someone and is in jail now. Reactions are kinda funny.

I usually just immediately cut them off and ask if they’ve accepted Jesus as their personal lord and savior and then just continue proselytizing them until they hang up on me

Exactly.
I had one number that looked fishy so I didn't answer. Looked it up and it was a spammer. They tried again so I blocked them.
I tracked my blocked call log and they tried 30 times in 45 days.

Dude in the settings you can turn off incoming calls not in your contacts. Sends them straight to voicemail.
Settings -> phone -> silence unknown callers
You’re welcome, boomer.

I have a call blocker app, I never get spam calls. I also probably miss half of my real calls, but I don't really care about that. If it's important they'll call back probably.
