when my wife was pregnant with our second child we were initially told it we were having a boy we were very excited. we let everyone know and even choose a name. hell when my wife took maternity pictures we had the name monogramed on stuff... anyway during the last sonogram we were told... "actually you are having another girl. so we figured well we will try one more time for a boy but a few years down the road.

fastforward 18 months to the present day.... my brother-in-law (my wife's brother) and his wife are pregnant and just found out yesterday they are having a boy. they then post on facebook that the name they have chosen.

Its EXACT name my wife and I had picked for our child.

I haven't said anything yet but he damn well knew that was the name we had picked out and that we would try one more time for a boy at some point.

would that kind of thing get under your skin.

Update: now he just texted me and my wife asking for the mongramed stuff saying "since yall don't need it anymore"

Im going burn it all in the back yard and video it and send it to him.

It's a nagging issue.

ETA for update:

Wow...I'd piss all over it and send it to him in a big soggy bag.

What a douche.

You should have gotten copyright protection on the name.

if they knew you had that name picked for a boy, it would probably bother me, but i dont think you or i would be justified in being upsed as your son is still a hypothetical.

Dear Henry the 8th,

Perhaps you should have taken care of business when the time was there. Don't blame him that he has the stronger YellowFin genes than you.

The male that is capable of producing male offspring is superior and can take whatever name he sees fit.

Is it a common name? Yes it might annoy me but it really depends. Seven?

Edit: Aww I'm late on the seinfeld joke.

Depends on the name. I plan on naming a son (if god blesses me with one) my grandfathers name. If they tried to pull that shite I would call them out. I'm not really attached to names besides his though.
