Always wondered about snowball type ventures. I'm a cpa, and have legitimately wondered if someone could continually open "seasonal" businesses ad live off the tax grid.

Due snowballs and fireworks in the summer, fireworks and Christmas trees in December, pumpkins in October, etc. just come up with enough cash only businesses, never apply for an ein or entity status, keep moving, never collect or remit sales tax, etc.

Obiously, you'd prolly never get rich, but I do think a person could eek out a living. W/zero compliance cost, you could for sure get by with a lot less.

close to town center

Just my first thought, but I doubt that will be allowed in that part of town.

umm no! Seriously you want to do something EASY with MINIMUM investment? Get ya 6 to 8 LARGE ice chests with ice and soft drinks, water, sports drinks and charge 75 cents for a soft drink, 1.00 for a bottle water, and 1.50 for sports drink.. and do it by a park or industrial area. Me and a bud did that when we were 25 and needed quick cash.. God loved us as it was a scorcher that week. We BOTH made over $700 EACH in 4 days.

All I can say is get a snowwizard or southern snow shaver (NOT Japanese), be very liberal with the syrup, keep your hours consistent and make sure your ice blocks are tempered correctly. And keep the damn blades very sharp.

Indeed. Better be good syrup too. Like the colors should be dark. No kool aid shite.
And get some employees you trust since it's all cash.

I plan on counting cups too and hiring some high school nerds that won't have the balls to steal from me.

Ha, counting cups is a dumb idea. Giving away a few snoballs won't break the bank.

We were allowed to take home whatever we wanted at the end of a shift and give away some stuff to close friends/family, no problem. We were probably happier employees because of it. Teenagers are easy to please.

i know of one right now closed down and i know they did over 2k a day in the summer. its in the hood but they sell the hell out of snoballs. btw it also had a drive through. white people owned it and made a killing. it operated for over 10 years. i think they may have died or something like that
