I workout daily doing either cardio or weights and some days both.

I'm about 185 and 6'1. I want to lean out a little more.

I have a 12 week workout program I follow. When I complete it, I'll usually break for a week then start over.

I have been doing the standard three sets/exercise then move to the next.

Would I benefit from doing this same routine but as a circuit? Or should I find an an "actual" circuit workout?

Also, I eat healthy but will eat bad maybe one night a week, usually on a weekend.

Any help is appreciated.

Do more sets in a circuit, 6'1 185? Why would you want to be smaller, that's tiny

Unless you're built like an upside down lightbulb, you shouldn't need to lean at this size.

Honestly you need to lift heavy.

I would implement muscle snatches and carries. Ohp and koklov presses.

1 arm presses and deadlifts work well too

Triset dumbell front side and rear raises.

6'1", 185# is the ideal size for a human.

Not too big, not too small.

I agree.

If OP wants to lose a couple inches off the waist that's fine.

OP, what's your waist size?

My guess is he's either not really 6'1 or he's not really 185. If both, this thread makes no sense. I'm ripped by the way.

Yeah, if you don't have any muscle. OP, unless you're skinny fat, you should be avoiding lots of cardio and lift heavy shite instead. Sounds like you need about 10 lbs of muscle.

You need HIIT workouts. Heavier lifting but combined with circuits that promote higher fat burning--exercises that sustain that burn for the entire day after you workout. Workouts like this will not make you bulk but create a very lean and potentially even shredded look. Also more sustainable long term. Most the guys I work out with (with our trainer) have that look--think professional soccer player body type.

Where do you live?

I live in Baton Rouge.

Waist size is 33.

Why would I lie about my height and weight when asking for advice?

For my routine, I follow Lee Labrada's 12 week lean body workout.

At that size, if you aren't lean then you really need to examine your diet. You cannot exercise enough to offset a poor diet. Some guys are fortunate enough to be ripped and still able to enjoy whatever the choose to eat but most have to make sacrifices

I personally have zero doubts about your height and weight. My guess is you're thin with some muscle but potentially on the lanky side. Not a terrible thing, but the HIIT workouts (done right) will help you become leaner and best yet, more proficient in regular daily life.

If you're interested in learning more, I will email you my trainers info and how he does things. I've been with him for five years and have changed my body (eating and drinking at lsu ruined it) and outlook on fitness.

What are other good HIIT routines other than running? When I run, I do HIIT but after a few weeks, my shins are hurting so I'll mix it up with a bike or elliptical but don't see the same results, even when I do HIIT on those.
