I think that a strong argument could be made one way or the other and that it's hard to say whether or not women should lose some weight. One could contend that yes, women should probably lose some weight. Then the next person could say, no not really. Women are good where they're at. You could make a strong argument for either one.

What do you guys think?

If women had a choice of being fit by snapping their fingers, they would choose fit. The reason they’re overweight is that, in general, women(and Americans) choose the easy path with regards to eating and fitness.

What is the strong argument for that? The average American woman currently weighs more than the average man should weigh.

Yep. In this case you can ignore real genders, fake genders, real excuses and fake excuses. American's by and large could be in better shape.

Yes. Travelling internationally really puts it in perspective.

Also, I lost weight immediately when I lived abroad.

Americans are very, very easy to spot when traveling abroad.

I hate that model anorexia look

Women need some meat on their bones

Plus the ones with thighs have the better snatch, according to my research.

Same.

Many parts of the world just don’t have the access or convenience of food that we do here. People will point to our food and say it’s “this or that” which we put in it that makes us fat but the numbers show that every culture which gets the access to food that we have starts gaining weight. Parts of the Middle East, Africa, even the far East are all seeing significant increases in obesity (regardless of their food sources/make up) and it’s because of their increasing access to food or the cultural changes towards food.

The hard truth is that we as a species are physically and mentally hardwired to consume food when it’s available. So we either have to suppress that evolutionary trait or live a very active lifestyle - both of which are difficult in a post industrial and relatively wealthy society with an abundance of readily available food.

Yes, males and females in America, on average, should lose weight.

In aging, I find the skinny, anorexic look to be unattractive on a woman. I admire a woman who has worked hard, raised children and remains interested in her appearance..even if that comes with a few more pounds than when she was younger.

Based solely on the eye test, a majority of women should lose weight. I know a lot of those who don't have to will take it the wrong way, and feel as if they do, but whatever...

Me no, most women yes. I was at a birthday party tbis weekend and out of the 10 women in my age group, there were only two of us that wasn't over weight. Just an observation.

For me the easiest way to use this as dietary jiu-jitsu is one meal a day. Mine is more like a long extended meal window of 3 hours. And if I am very active in a day with exercise or work I supplement calories.

I just find it easier to use the gorge instinct instead of fight it and pretend food is not available the rest of the day. It’s amazing how the metabolism adjusts. I ran a marathon on a 24 hour fast once. I don’t necessarily recommend that but I just wanted to see if I could do it.
