Obviously still early.

I see on the Horizon in the Feb. 8th -12th Time-Frame. There is strong guidance from many Teleconnections such as the NAO and AO are heading towards Neutral to Negative as we head into the 1st week of Feb. This should allow for Much Colder Air to filter into the Region. All 3 Major Operational computer Models - The GFS, EURO, & CMC are all latched onto a Much Colder and Possible Wintry Period. Not only are the Operationals locked on, Many of there Ensembles Members are showing this Solution as well. I think we are about to head into the Coldest stretch of Winter so far, I say 'So Far" because we don't know what lies ahead into late Feb. and Early March. Many of the Operationals and there Ensemble Members are showing Temps as much as 35 Degree's Below Average, I am going conservative with 15-25 Degree's Below Average for now. They are also showing the possibility of Snow/Ice/Sleet in that 8th - 12th Time-Frame.

Highs in the 60 and 70's in all of Louisiana during that time. I even looked at Arkansas and highs in the 50s and 60's according to wunderground and weather.com. Not sure what third rate website you got that shite from.

Might be some crow eating in this thread. The majority of the model runs suggest well below average temperatures for Feb 7-11. You will see weather forecasts trend lower once they get closer.

Not sure I trust anyone who follows the weather closely enough to make predictions and still spells it "degree's".

So I'm supposed to eat crow for checking the weather and not seeing anything to corroborate the ops statement?

Although I will say that when it snowed back in 08, I literally went to bed listening to the weatherman tell me that some sleet was possible. Set my alarm a little later just to make sure it was daylight before I left.

It snowed until 1pm in Hammond. I was without power for about 30 hrs.

Spoken like a true Lewzianer redneck.
The cool is a nice break from the normally hot and muggy weather we have.
