Think about how much of the mass of the crawfish the tail meat makes up. Stuff is expensive.


For shrimp, think how much of the body's mass the tail meat makes up. Wayyy more meat. Wayyy more bang for your buck. Better tasting to boot!

So just like how airlines started charging for checked baggage due to high gas prices, and they never stopped charging us even when the gas price has plummeted.

If you think crawfish are too expensive don't buy them. If enough people agree the price will go down. If not then eat crabs and shrimp.
