Nope. It was statistically a once a millennium flood.

Had to be the summer of 16 after so much other shite, too.

Definitely there will be more floods. Weather patterns are shifting and LA will continue to lose coastline to erosion. There will be more frequent and intense weather systems. If you live more than 30 more years you are going to see major changes.

A Cat 5 storm isn't the rain maker. I had just moved to Houston in 2001 when Tropical Storm Allison hit dumping 40" of rain on the city. It's certainly not out of the realm that Louisiana will have many such floods. In fact, it's probable.

That other "shite" happen to be two other flood events in Louisiana.
