So my wife started studying a few months ago for the first CPA exam. She took it the last week of July and a couple days later started studying for the next one. She's scheduled to take it in about a month. She feels like she bombed the first one but won't her scores for the first two until the end of September. She's kind of in a rut right now after studying so much and feeling like she didn't do well on the first one. I'm trying my best to keep her motivated but I don't really know what else to do. Any tips from some of you that were in the same situation as me or maybe on the flip side?

Good thing she's only talking them. Taking them might be a bitch.

Be thankful you have a wife that isnt dumb. Being married to the hot waitress isnt all it's cracked up to be.

Just insure her that most people feel like they do worse than they actually do.

At the end of the day, she can take it again.

Tell her she doesn't need that unless she wants to stay in public accounting which means she'll be miserable the rest of her life anyway

Ninja Notes were helpful for me. Also, if she's still fairly young tell her to go into teaching instead.

Debits go on the left side. Credits go on the right side.

I thought I bombed FAR, it was my first one, and wound up with a 90. Felt prob worse about REG, got an 85 I think.

It's a really hard test, and there is without a doubt questions that are not graded when it's all said and done. That's why it takes so long to et your score back, they are looking at the entire window of tests.

Tell her to remember that .99999... = 1 and she'll do fine.

Everybody thinks they do worse than they actually do. Out of curiosity, what part did she take/what part is she studying for now? Also, testing isn't offered until September after this month so she won't be taking another part for about another 6 weeks at the earliest.
