Why would Entergy think its a good idea to send out "sorry for your outage" emails?

What kind of person thinks of this shite? For one I didn't even know I had an outage. They aren't offering any kind of discount to make up for the outage I didn't know I suffered though. Just a link to look at more outage information.

It just tweaks my mind that someone had a meeting and they decided this would be something useful.

what if theres something in your home that requires electricity and you dont have back up for it? seems useful to me

Where I was in NWLA the nearest neighbor had a spouse in basically an iron lung in order to live. They had 3 backup generators as middle of nowhere had overhead power and telephone.

You must be 1 of the 11,000 people w/o power in the GNO area right now...

If I am bored I will bring their outage map and there are consistently outages in different areas of the GNO... This crap is unacceptable for what they charge...

They charge some of the lowest rates in the country.
