At the mall today getting some new clothes for summer and the light weight pima polos are about $85 each in all colors. Thought about buying a couple but then went to TJ maxx which is right next door. The exact same shirt made in the same country with no stains and no missing buttons cost $35. I sort of understand the appeal of not having to shop at a TJ Maxx but then i think having to go to a Macy's or Dillards sucks just as bad. So I bought 3 instead in the same colors I wanted. I guess my question is, do people hate money that much or do they just think it is below them to shop at an off price store?

You can get RL polos off their website for $35 sometimes.

There is something off a little...it's not like a red dot on cashmere though...

I've got most of mine from the wife finding them at Goodwill.

But I will pay full price for these though.

My woman just gave me a really nice RL golf polo. It´s not Polo. No logotype or anything, and the placket has four buttons.

They make good shite still, they really do (I´ve got three nice dress shirts, again, without the Polo man).

You´ve got to look, because the quality is there.

Is there a better polo on the market? I've made the mistake of buying a lacoste at an airport one time and it was small enough to fit a 10 year old girl after 2 washes in the machine. Never made that mistake again. I've got RL polos that I've owned over 10 years that fit the exact same.

Lacoste doesn't hold up worth a shite. Brooks brothers quality has gone to shite as well... I still have some navy RL polos from high school.

Amazing how the teachers would give me dress code violations for RL logo on my Polo Shirt but would turn a blind eye to all the Hollister and American Eagle lame shite

My man!

Bro, I was rocking these last night at Corner Bar!

Didn't get any action though. Maybe my breath was rank?

Lacoste is actually the original polo. Introduced by Jean Rene Lacoste, a tennis player who wanted a shirt that was comfortable for play and would have a collar that could be flipped up to protect his neck from the sun while on the court, but could be flipped down while indoors.

So, not only is his polo the OG of polos, it was also intended to have the collar popped.

You realize the only people rocking polos are kids at high school dances right?

Funny, I saw one of the wealthiest guys in Lafayette rocking one at lunch last Sunday.

Guess a 60 year old multi-millionaire is following high school fashions.

So you saw a 60 year old with money wearing a polo and that means exactly what? Walk into a college or post college bar today and let me know how many standard polo collar shirts you see. It used to be the go to outfit which isn't the case today. Not saying people don't wear them but the popularity has declined.
