Why the lack of drain plugs on ice chests

I don't understand why they stopped putting drain plugs on ice chests. They only have them in very large ice chests. I guess it's because it costs an extra 30 cents to include them. I'd rather pay a few extra bucks and save my back, and I don't want 120qt ice chests.

In my non-expert opinion, I'd guess leaking (as mentioned above) and it likely takes away from insulation in an age of statistics and making ice last as long as possible

Seems easy enough to come up with a plug that uses a nice standard size o-ring.
