Thanks I have been getting better. It started as all day fever to now I just get a low grade fever around bed time. With a dull headache. I had high fever/body aches and headaches for 3 days before the PCR test. I’m not going do another test. Has enough swabs up my nose.

I can tell by your attitude (same as mine) that you do not wear a mask unless you have to. That means around family and friends. THAT’s where you got it, most likely, although it’s certainly possible to get it when wearing a mask; it’s just less likely.

Take Tylenol and go soak in hot bath water (as hot as possible without it being too hot). Allow your body to sweat out stuff in your body. Make sure you hydrate.

Any enlarged lymph nodes? I had the exact same symptoms for like 3+ weeks and got a mono diagnosis after getting a swollen lymph node biopsied.

Eventually I was referred to a hematologist and they wanted to rule out lymphoma.

If you are having night sweats (like shirt soaking sweat) and a fever when the sun has just gone down, I would get in touch with someone other than the china flu doctor.

That’s my plan NY. Get bloodwork done next. That’s pretty much all I have now is low fever at dusk and minor seating when sleeping. Not soaked liked early on

Guy on my former team at work almost died from pneumonia because the damn doctors only concerned themselves with proving if it was or wasn’t covid.

Got sick in Gatlinburg, spent a couple days in hospital. Negative for covid, so they released him. Arrived home to Charlotte, and passed out at dinner, back to hospital. More covid testing before they finally got diagnosis right.

How often are professionals overlooking the obvious currently?

I get a similar "fever virus" every now and then.

No other symptoms. Just fever spikes and then chills (after sweating buckets) overnight (I've had it range from 103 down to 96.9).

Usually goes away after a couple of days.

I've never had one last that long (max is 3 days for me). Sounds like an infection of some sort.

It’s regular flu. It still exists.

Then if he died they would have labeled it Covid after all.

Go to the doctor!
November 2019 I had night sweats, didn't feel that bad at all. Turned out to be pneumonia!!
Doctor had a chest x ray performed and confirmed.
Take care of yourself, hope you feel better!

Good call. Get to the doctor ASAP.
My doctor had several tests done, all negative. Then he decided on a chest x ray. It showed something cloudy in my lower right loab. Doctor said "You have pneumonia". I responded with "You think I have pneumonia? I don't feel that bad at all. Just night sweats (bad) and a little tired."
He looked straight at me and said "You...Have...Pneumonia!!"
Gave me an antibiotic shot along with a prescription for antibiotics and a z pack.
Funny, I really really thought I would feel much worse than I did. I went home and stayed in bed for 5 days taking the medication and was fine after that.
Hope you get the help you need.

Urgent care didn’t trust the rapid Covid negative test so they gave me the full test which included Covid, flu, and like 25 other things one being CMV and that’s the only one that came back positive. Got the results the next day.

Not sure what the test is called but it was a deep nasal swab that sucks.

CMV stands for cytomegalovirus FYI

Ever had Mono before? That can definitely give you a multi-day fever like that.
