Why no love for the Titan?

Everyone I know who's owned them swears by them. I've talked to mechanics who've told me they are the most underrated truck on the market. I myself have had 2 Fords, 2 Chevys and a Titan and the Nissan was the only one that never went to the shop with a problem.

So what is it that keeps people from considering the Titan when truck shopping?

They stepped up the exterior looks. Haven't seen the inside of the new ones

Few options, poor drivetrain reliability, poor resale.

Is this based on personal experience or from someone you know? I don't know anyone who's had problems with them, including myself.

They are ugly as frick, and they historically do break down a lot. The new Cummins is also a waste of money

Poor resale is the only knock I have. I can't kill mine, almost 200k and took 4 feet of flood water and still going strong. Only had to do the brakes.

God awful paint. Every Titan I see is is anywhere from no clear coat to roof straight up rusting out. Even newer ones.

I thought the same thing until I saw a black XD in person.

Gorgeous truck.

Driveline is way overbuilt for a half ton.

One is the major auto mags tested the new Titan diesel and it broke down several times during the review.

I just don't care for the way they look. Same with the Tundra.

Car and Driver said the new Titan was one of the worst long-term test vehicles that they've had this century. Their article made the Titan sound like an absolutely atrocious vehicle.
