while most people find six-pack abs a “nice” feature, only 2% of people actually consider it a requirement of physical attractiveness. TWO PERCENT.

Well no shite there's only going to be a small amount of people who REQUIRE that, and those people are vain assholes. That doesn't mean it doesn't make you better looking to the opposite sex.

Is it a REQUIREMENT that a girl has a nice rack and a bangin arse to date her? No, but it sure as hell doesn't hurt.

what do you think of toes to bar as a core exercise?

They definitely hit the lower abs for sure, but the key is to go slow and work the descent. Use as little legs/glutes/arms as possible. I once had it as a staple of my routine but over the years added more and more core work so now I only probably do them once a month or so. Almost everything I do now is TRX based.

First off, do any men LIKE a girl with a 6 pack? Just have a flat stomach. What's this bitch talkin bout? Second, she has a ways to go before she wakes up with a 6 pack.

Her appearance doesn't make her point any less valid. It's valid no matter who says it.

No, you said it was a problem that she is making the point. That's a criticism, not an observation.

Yes, you're right, I did. The problem is that quite often fat people use matters such as this to obfuscate and to direct attention away from them being fat.

If someone who doesn't have 6 pack abs shouldn't make the point that having 6 pack abs are vastly overrated, who should?

Again, I don't really care. You do apparently, and that's great.

Should everyone who has them to make the point?

See above.

That's great. I'm not a bro, though. Many experts in the field of health and wellness also discuss obesity.

Yes, we get this. You and the other guy are hung up on this. I certainly have not said otherwise. I stipulate that you are correct. If you want to tell me again, you're wasting your breath.

Now, that being said, the girl in the OP is fat.

I agree, but c'mon man....she's not fat. She does not have a fitness model body, but she is far from fat.

She is a woman who likes a healthy body and a healthy life. She believes that what is appealing to the eye to some is not as important (nor worth the time and extreme diet restrictions) to achieve 10% BF. She believes that what looks healthy may not be as healthy as something else that looks "fat". She'll hit the gym in the morning, but hare a beer and a burger with you that night. Read her bio (I've read her stuff before).

IMO, she's the perfect person to be making this point and more people should listen

About
About Noelle Page
Hey you! I’m Noelle – the one behind all of these Coconuts & Kettlebells. I have a passion for eating and moving like a human, supporting my local farms, any product that I can make from coconut oil, and my considerably large, but very necessary collection of workout shoes.

I think you’ll dig this site

Coconuts & Kettlebells exists to empower people to make life-altering decisions about their food and fitness. I passionately believe gaining unwanted weight, struggling with depression or emotional instability, and being in a state of constant sickness and disease is not normal for the human body. There is a better way to find health, fitness, happiness and natural leanness without restrictive “diets” or prescription pills – and you deserve to know.

The deets on me
I have a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, and I’m a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP™), certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association. I’m the writer behind all the posts you’ll find on this site, and I also write for other publications, including Wellness Magazine.

I’m currently stationed on the East Coast with my man, Mr. Coconuts, and my boxer puppy, Runna. He’s a United States Marine, and she’s a boxer, and they are both the loves of my life.

Before I became a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, my full-time career was in the running and triathlon industry. I’ve managed the marketing efforts for various multi-location retail stores, and worked with establishments like Semper FIT (United States Marine Corps), corporate health departments, and various medical facilities to do on-site presentations and training sessions relating to health, fitness, and appropriate workout gear and shoes. Being in the business of running shoes – let’s just say I’ve touched a ton of feet in my lifetime. Seeexyyy.

My ride on the crazy train

This girl is PISSED cause she ain't got no nutrients!
This girl is PISSED cause she ain’t got no nutrients!
In the past 10 years of my life, I’ve been on a roller coaster of nutritional and training highs and lows. After gaining some unwanted pounds as a teenager, I began doing what “experts” recommended for health in order to lose the weight and gain performance. I began following a low-fat, vegetarian diet in my early teens, and started doing additional things like restricting calories and performing “cardio” as the years progressed. Although I had initial success losing weight, overtime I became anxious, depressed, and more unhappy with my body. I also got sick a lot, and struggled with digestive issues like IBS frequently. To top it off, I slowly developed disordered eating tendencies that completely took over my life.
For years, I tried it all to fix my “problems.” I went vegan, ran marathons, purchased an endless amount of books, participated in endurance triathlons, and did a whole lot of soul searching and praying. Whatever was wrong with me – I figured it was something I was doing wrong.

And it was – only it has nothing to do with what I was eating, and everything to do with what I wasn’t. In 2009, my life changed when I heard someone say: “You’ve got to eat fat to lose fat.” Shortly after, I began digging deep into research and found that everything I believed to be true about health was entirely wrong. Slowly, I made changes that radically changed how I looked, felt – and how my body performed.

Low-fat Cardio Queen vs High Fat Healthy Sprinter
Low-fat Cardio Queen vs High Fat Healthy Sprinter (same hot dude as prop)
Ultimate freedom came for me when I stopped doing the endless amounts of chronic cardio, and switched to a more human way of movement that included sprinting, walking, lifting – and lots of recovery.
I’ve been living and studying a human lifestyle for about 5 years now – and I can confidently say that my disordered eating and body dysmorphia has completely disappeared, and my digestive distress, weight issues, fatigue, low immune system, and anxiety are all a thing of the past.

While I’m far from perfect, my goal is to continue to stay on top of the latest information and research – and empower others to make life-altering decisions about food and fitness so that they can live an incredible and blessed life.

If you have them I'd be willing to bet you'd get laid more. As a male anyway. Six packs on women are weird.

No, but I've read her stuff before and one of my coaches believes in a very similar lifestyle so we discuss it regularly.

On sight, you would not picture him as "healthy"...he's got a little mid section, eats donuts, drinks socially, fairly certain he smokes alot of pot...but when I told you he was 62 years old, can still run a half marathon, ride a bike 2+ hours, low resting HR, low cholesterol, etc etc etc you might change your mind.

You realize how difficult it is to tell 10 pounds or less on a persons frame?

You serious? You obviously don't know what 10 lbs of fat looks like. If I slabbed 10 lbs of fat on a table in front of you and said "if I stick this inside of a 130 lb body, do you think it'd be noticeable?"

You most certainly would say yes.

Go tell your girl to gain 10 lbs and tell me you don't see a difference when she's naked.

Who cares if we call it fat or not. She seems to be in great shape and healthy. Doesn't change the fact that she's a few lazy weeks from having 2 handfuls of flabby shite on her stomach.

If she really works as hard as she says, she's gonna blow the frick up when she quits.

I agree that six packs are usually not attractive on chicks

Another new fad is these girls that want to have man arms for some reason. They'll post these pics after "gun day" looking like Arnold in the arms....so gross
