It's very simple: because it sells. It's all an act. While I'm sure she love ecstasy, everything she does is a marketing tool, and guess what, it is completely working. I honestly think that outside of work, she's probably pretty composed, much like Lady Gaga is. You don't hear of her showing up at parties doing stupid shite, or egging her neighbors houses, showing up 3 hours late while fricked up at concerts, or drag racing in South Beach. Bieber does this shite and will in all likelihood be dead in about 3 years, but you don't hear about her life outside of things she wants you to find out about. She's fine.
