Why does Breakfast food suck so much in other countries?

I just don't understand how people on the European continent can choose bread and jam over what we eat here in the morning. The only country in Europe that does breakfast right is England....thank god we let them influence our cuisine in that regard.

had an English breakfast at a British pub in Cyprus, even with salt and pepper was the most bland thing ive ever had. Irish breakfast at a fancy hotel up the road from Shannon Airport wasn't much better.

They're just into a much lighter breakfasts over here. It's not that bad, I like the wide variety of cheeses and meats.

I just returned from Italy. I did not see one obese Italian while there. In fact they appeared to be a fairly fit group of people. If they're eating wrong then maybe we should take some lessons from them. Fat America should not be complaining here.

English breakfast sucks. I love German breakfast, starting with their fabulous breads...great cheeses, quality meats, sweet butter, fruity preserves.

Breakfast in Costa Rica is a lot like that and probably my favorite in the world. Gallo Pinto (beans and rice with a bit of sour cream), eggs, toast, fresh fruit and juice, killer coffee. It just barely edges out the typical English breakfast.
