Why do teachers and nurses need to constantly pat themselves on the back

I see members of these two professions constantly posting on Facebook about how hard their job is, what all the have to deal with, etc. (delete Facebook, yeah I know).
This isn't a bash nurses/teachers thread, I'm geniunely curious why it seems like they are always seeking attention for how "hard" they work. Plenty of other jobs are hard, a lot are even harder.
Is it because most nurses and teachers are women, so naturally you see more complaining and looking for validation?

Because they are both professions made up primarily by women.

Update, found it. It was Ashley Merryman in CA. Developed it for inner city kids to facilitate their feeling better about themselves..."being great".

It's because they're women and because there are SEVERAL of them
