I have a Prius in my household, my parents both drive them, and my FIL has one for his work commute. None of us think we are better than any other driver on the road. We just like 50 mpg in a decent sized, fairly low cost, and reliable vehicle. We also don't do 55 on the interstate, so we may not be the usually Prius buyer
Exactly. I drive a Prius for the $$$green$$$ benefits. I drive over 30,000 miles a year and went from an Expedition getting 14 miles to the gallon to a Prius getting 45 mpg 10 years ago. I have probably saved over $30,000 in that time, including the Prius' higher note in the equation. And no, I don't drive in the left lane except to pass.

Along with all the electric car people. where do they thing that electricity comes from?
Let me preface with, I drive a Jeep that gets 12-16 mpg.
The electricity comes from a nuclear, natural gas combined cycle, or coal fired power plant...all of which are a good bit more efficient and centralize your pollution for easier control.
If i went electric it would be nuclear..kind of cool. Anyway, electric cars like the tesla 3 and chevy bolt will be more popular as their like becomes more affordable and have higher ranges (those two go in the 240s miles) and charging stations become more common. Also, as they become more affordable, folks will get more energy from solar panels as they too will become cheaper and more efficient.
Batteries, well...bit of a booger. But, gas fired cars saved us from being buried in horse shite...always a next. Fusion?
How much
How far
How fast

It's the "smart car" drivers that I hate. Aggressive as frick, as tiny as those cars are.
Had one cut me off merging off the highway onto the feeder road. Just smooth cut right in front of me at 55 MPH, and I drive a got danged truck. I was too shocked to be pissed
