Poor people are usually uneducated and uneducated people really don't really do well at managing life so it's not like they are saying "maybe we should use protection when having sex because kids are expensive and we don't have a lot of money".

Plus, they receive government assistance and the more kids you have the more you get from the government right?

It's not like poor uneducated people can't sleep at night because they are thinking about world problems and think "growing population is a bigger concern than most people realize. At some point, resources we take for granted now will become limited"..

This, and massive prison sentence reduction for anyone who gets sterilized.

Maybe you should ask why the people w/the purse strings refuse to teach comprehensive birth control in schools and instead pretend that abstinence only education is worth a shite?

I'm a 29 year old middle class dude and I'm terrified of having a kid because of money.

I can't imagine being poor AF and having one.

If cable TV were free, the poor people would have something else to do

Unprotected sex is a free form of entertainment. If you have a baby, you get more welfare money.

Shouldn't parents teach that too?

Birth control is taught in schools, it's also dirt cheap or free.

Stop blaming the true victims, the taxpayer

Because they get paid by the child. If we stopped paying them to make more, they would stop. If you want more of something, subsidize it. If you want less, tax it. We're taxing people who work while subsidizing those who do not and paying them by the bastard. Whoduthunk we'd be overrun with poor bastards?

Actually I think Cox does give a discount. They definitely do for Internet if you are on welfare. Not sure of cable packages. But with Internet you wouldn't even need cable.

Because unlike most rich people, they actually value a big family.

They don't teach required comprehensive sex ed in public and private schools b/c of the all the thumpers. Poor people tend to be the ones in public schools and religious based charter schools that don't get it. Abstinence only education is a big reason so many are flat stupid about having kids they can't afford.

I'd love to see the teen pregnancy rates of public vs private.

The scary part is the birth control is free at any health department.. yet they refuse to use it and instead keep popping out kids they have zero business having.
