My son told me,"I don't want to be killed, but I want to know what killing feels like"
After talking some he wanted to know what happens when you die, not wants to kill people. But it was very uncomfortable.
We were watching The Lost World and 2 T-Rex had just ripped a man in half when this came up.

True. Had sleep paralysis almost every day this week. At this point in my life, it's a nuisance. To kids, it's terrifying
Damn man that's pretty wild. Every night?
I used to get it once maybe twice a week. Mine was the dude standing in the doorway and then he'd rush me, I'd wake up when he got right to me. And by wake up I mean slammed back into my body.
It usually happened if I was really stressed or really exhausted.

When my SO's son was three or four, he would talk about "my other mommy before you were my mommy." He is not adopted. He has no memory of it now.

Check into something called RBD. It's REM sleep Behavioral Disorder and causes frequent sleep paralysis. It can also include or intensify to include sleepwalking and has had cases documented of ppl actually injuring/killing others while it was occurring. No shite.
RBD

Literally every night 4 days straight at least.
I'm so used to it they up their game & put me in SP inside my dream, which extends the experience & takes longer to get out when I wake up. Not even getting visuals anymore cuz they know I don't freak out. Just fricking with me at this point. Jerks.

Maybe Alien abductions. Sounds a lot like "Close Encounters of the 4th kind" movie. People were seing owls and it turned out to be alien faces. Sleep paralysis. Pacific Northwest.

Thank you for the tip, but this is beyond medical help. Been having these since i was 7 years old, & im a full grown male now still getting them
W/out turning this thread into jihad, let's just say I have enough evidence to know this is a spiritual malady that wont be going away.

My son when he was younger has a couple of episodes of I'm assuming were night terrors/lucid dreaming, both while sick with a low fever. One was just some screaming and basically staring into space.
The second time when he was about seven or eight, he started screaming in his room at about ten at night. My wife and I rushed in there... He was sitting on his bed, alternating between a grimace and smiling with a guttural laugh while nodding his head. His eyes were open, but not focused on anything. At another point, he started saying over and over "I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die".
I kept saying his name and trying to snap him out of it (I was freaked the frick out, but my wife was even more so) and eventually grabbed him by the shoulders and yelled his name. He finally looked at me and said "what?" He had no idea what he was doing and didn't remember any of it.
I don't scare easy, but that was some of the creepiest shite I've ever seen, even more so because it was my kid. Thankfully that shite hasn't happened since.

Yeah my daughter has night terrors when she is sick with fever.
The last one she had she legit thought ants were crawling all over her. She just kept screaming "GET THEM OFF ME! GET THEM OFF!"
Hearing a 3 year old scream with such fear is awful

I have, too. I was diagnosed with this recently and the 'fix' is quite simple. Klonopin .5mg-1mg qhs (nightly) and it stops. I didn't believe it would work, either. But it has....so far. Just started treatment for it a couple of weeks ago...but so far, so good.
Of course, it may have just been bc I'm a ginger and I was hunting for souls in my sleep. Guess we'll never know.

Yeah, I'm getting chills remembering that shite, lol.
I told my parents about it... My mom thought I was exaggerating until my wife looked at with the most serious face I've ever seen and told her no, it was exactly like that.

It makes you feel helpless and kind of shitty cause your freaked out and can't help them in the moment.

Well, of course that makes sense b/c gingers have no souls. Gotta get one somehow ;-)
Seriously though, it's exhausting getting out. We need a zip tie thread for this with tips on how to break free. I start by wiggling a toe

WTF.
YES!!!
I was rocking my my 4 year old daughter a couple of months ago while reading a book before bed time. She looks up and says "Hey Grandad!" (my grandfather who passed away earlier that year)....
WTF is right dude.
