Why do dogs fart

I have a female dog and lately she has been having a serious problem with passing gas that resembles the smell of skunk farts. What is making her do that? serious question no trolling

What kind of dog? Brachycephalic dogs take in a lot of air while they eat and it makes them fart a lot

My dog's fart actually made a sound for the first time the other day. It was rather strange.

Could be a number of things. Mostly its something they ate food wise not agreeing with their digestive system. Have you feed her anything different in the last couple days?

I can't explain that because i don't produce farts , although my wife is good at producing.

The horizontal orientation of their intestines is not conducive to the frequent release of gasses, so whatever gas they do have in there is heavily saturated. I let out a huge fart every single morning, just after getting out of bed for a similar reason.

My Boxer farted the other day and I smelled much worse than it sounded. She just raised her head and had the "what" look on her face
