Why are y'all so defensive about where you live ?

From what I read on here it's the natives and residents that are most critical of LA. Why then do so many of you feel the need to critique Texas and other places that aren't shitty like where you live ?

Everyone in Louisiana including myself only dreams of having the infrastructure that Texas has. I think people in Louisiana enjoy the unique culture it has to offer but would prefer the state to be overall in better shape financially and a much better educational system.
