Why are some people dumb enough to teach their kids to be bullies?

I have a family member who taught his son to be assertive and stand up for himself, but now he admits that he went a little too far with it.

Now the kid bullies the other kids when they’re playing and takes toys from them, hits them if he doesn’t get what he wants, etc.

What dumbass teaches his kid to be aggressive towards other kids at a young age? Too many people are worried about their kids being taken advantage of by other kids. It’s going to happen, and teaching your kid to bully others isn’t going to stop it.

Instead of focusing on raising people who are tough enough to live in a harsh cruel world, people should be focused on raising people who make the world a little less harsh and cruel.

Me and friends bullied people since middle school. I often look back on that with regret and wonder how our actions impacted those individuals.

The fats, the dweebs, the poors - do they still remember? Did we scar them for life? Did they use it as motivation and become wildly successful and rich?

Who knows?

The kid needs his arse whooped for his dad’s bad parenting? Makes sense.

Man, I watched a bully (2 grades below me) take the worst arse whipping I’ve ever seen from a skinny Mexican. It seriously changed the bully forever. He ended up being a nice guy because of it.

You still bully people today, a-hole. You gave me the finger for making a joke about Better Call Saul's cell phone store today. You are just an angry grumpy shite head.

I've been bullied by three different people in life. Two of them ended up committing suicide, the other did time in prison for attempted murder and aggravated assault when he put a screwdriver into his dad's neck. He's out now, and is as unstable and fricked up as ever. Matter of time before he's back in prison, or kills himself like the others.

There's a fine line to walk here. It's tough these days with how much access kids have to everything.

Well if his dad didn't teach him someone else eventually will.
