I'll try that.
I'll take my 5mg of melatonin and get in a hot bath 90 min before bed.

You would probably wake up, just not remember it. I didn't think about the kiddo. Probably not a good option.

Try the OTC stuff like Unisom or Melatonin. It isn't very strong and you can easily wake up on it if you don't down a fifth of Jack with it.

Maybe it's like postpartum thyroiditis? Maybe that would explain my cold/hot flashes?
My blood pressure always tends to be on the low side, too.

I had terrible sleep problems for years. Started taking melatonin in mid-'97. I take 3 mg or less nightly about 45 mins before I want to go to sleep.

It feels like the sandman comes like when I was a kid. I usually read until I get drowsy then put down whatever I'm reading and go right to sleep.

I get up once to piss during the night (usually) and go right back to sleep. I sleep 6-7 hours usually. When I wake up it's like it was when I was a kid. I am drowsy for a few minutes and by the time my feet hit the floor I am fully functional.

I found out very quickly that if I took more than 3 mg that it worked quite the opposite. One mg works just as well as 3 mg.

The dreams are pretty awesome too. I hardly ever remembered my dreams before I started taking it.

I switch shifts every couple months and use Neuro Sleep when I do.

It contains Melatonin and it is absolutely amazing. It knocks me out completely, get a great night rest.

I am not sure about the cortisol thing though.

In my experience 5 mg is too high of a dose. Too high of a dose worked the opposite on me. In my opinion you should take half of one of those tablets.

I actually really like the taste of it as well. It doesn't have too much melatonin that it makes me groggy in the morning which is also a good thing. They're kinda pricey, but I love em.

Yeah they do taste pretty good. I've tried the other ones as well, and I am not sure if they actually do anything, but the Neuro Bliss is pretty tasty as well.

Why don't you just take ambien or lunesta like normal people do?

Melatonin works way better than ambien for me, and you can buy it without a script.

Ambien is good if you want to get high before you go to bed

Huh? You must not be familiar with getting high.
