if not for taxes, how would we be able to take down offensive monuments?

IDGAF how you feel about taxes in general, if this BTR roads tax doesn't pass and we don't get Perkins Road lights synced AGAIN, I'll find you and rape your armpit.

Eta: NM, You're probably registered in the AP.

Only sucks more now because the people receiving all the entitlements are more uppty and loud than they use to be.

Having to deal with all their shite, and feed, cloth, house and take care of their lexus while also hearing how bad they have it is the reason you're now more annoyed.

I'm not opposed to taxes that go towards their intended function. I'm upset that every single La tax goes into the pockets of crooks. Would never vote for any tax in La...EVER.

We need to defund everything. press reset. Only allow property owners to vote on reinstating taxation for funding defense and the occasional space trip to the moon for shits and giggles. Leave the rest of up to land owning voters and states rights.

Our mayor proposed a new property tax increase to fund a bunch of road construction projects. It has to be passed by the house and voted on by the people I believe. New taxes almost never pass.

Good luck with that. That has been deemed a code word for white men for two hundred years. Zero chance that flies as the MSM and Dems will decree it the most racist and sexist thing ever putforth.

Every spending line just needs to be looked at in its entirety. There's plenty of "bridge to nowhere" projects that can be eliminated VERY easily.

Have been keeping the country afloat this whole time. Not my fault that one race chose to be pimped out.

Oh I'm fully aware. I think either everyone needs a skin in the game, flat tax and no exemptions under a certain threshold, or only those paying into the system can decide how the money is spent and for increases. It will never happen though. An entire party has based their party line around providing more for those who do not and have paid in.

If you broke down where all tax money goes, you would be outraged.

I want my tax dollars used for infrastructure improvements, military needs, and minimal needed govt oversight. That's all.

Govt employees should be moved to a 401K type plan, and pensions should be ended.

Well if you go to the poli board (scary task I know) there's a thread on it right now. It's sickening to see where our entire budget goes.
