My boss is a miserable frick as well. Makes me work all the time, barely pays me, makes me stay late, constantly on my arse to grow sales and makes me take out the trash and vacuum too.

I never should have started working for myself.

After thirty years he has learned that no matter what you do it's never enough so making an effort is pointless. If employees gave a sh!+ then he'd probably have turned out differently.

I kid but what I said is true. A boss has to make an effort even though he knows that a certain number of his guys will never be satisfied. I'm sure a certain number of bosses, especially old-school guys, say screw it

They're trying to make yall quit. So they don't have to fire you.

Classic tactic.

Submit a complaint to HR saying he pocketed the money for himself.

That'll show 'em.

quote:

So I get into work this morning expecting to have a pretty easy day because our crew had pretty much finished up all the work for the week. Well, my evil sick boss has different plans. He makes us start scrubbing the warehouse from top to bottom. Now if we normally did this kind of thing it wouldn't be a big deal but In 3 years I've been at this job I never saw any crew do it.
To top it off, all the other shifts got big lunch spreads that the supervisors are supposed to get for the crew. It doesn't come out of their pockets. The company pays for it. Well my bitch of a boss doesn't think it's worth his time to get any food for us and just basically said F@@@k you to all of us. It takes a special kind of miserable son of a bitch to be this way on Christmas.

Dude where do you work?

It's a sad reality but in that kind of situation you have to figure you're better off unemployed. No amount of money makes it better to be hopeless than to have some hope and an opportunity to find a better situation.

There's a special place in hell for people who victimize subordinates just because they can.

Sounds like all you hourly guys neglected the housekeeping part of your jobs for 3+ years, until this salary shift supervisor sacked up and decided to actually hold your crew accountable by taking away your unneeded arse time & not rewarding you for slacking off in between your core job tasks.

Possibly a product of years of liberal american union culture that embraces mediocrity?

But maybe, just maybe, y'all are actually all-stars and the guy is just a shitty manager.

I used to work for a guy who firmly believed that no one was working at full potential unless he had a mild to medium case of the red arse.

The old bastard made sure he tweaked everybody on the reg and he was a master of it.
