Decided on taking the 2 day lessons on the nantahala, since they didn't have the one day available. Looking forward to a freezing arse weekend!

I never camped alongside the Broad but I can tell you that the stretch we paddled was pristine. Not a building or dwelling to be seen. Just nature. I recall many great looking camping spots on river bend sand bars if you did an overnight trip.

Last time I did the Gauley during the fall draw down of Summerville Lake, a solo paddler died at Initiation(first rapid after the put in). I remember thinking "who would do that solo on a September weekend?" He was either an over confident expert or a guy who had no clue.

Yeah bro spent night one in downtown Chattanooga. Pretty cool place. Just made it to the nantahala outdoor center. I got 2 days of whitewater kayak lessons!

i'm late but the nantahala outdoor center (NOA.com) does this, they are in the nantahala gorge.
