I might go that route. But those rims are gonna look funny when I put my roof rack on.

Why? Because they're 20s?

They look more like luxury and less rugged/aggressive.

Also, those Nittos are supposed to go on a 7.5" wide rim minimum.

I had those same Nittos on my 4Runner. Great tires and tough as hell, but they made the ride way too rough.

You'll be fine. Plenty of people have done it.

It's no different than Mustang guys that throw a 315 on a 9" rim.

Yea, I had them on a Suburban and noticed similar. Wasn't really suggesting that specific tire, but just showing him that a different size that is way more popular works for his application.

That looks so much worse compared to the factory rims IMO. How about getting the factory rims powdercoated?

I don't like the idea of smaller wheels for more sidewall. Can you not go a size up on the tires? I just think it looks goofy if a car comes with 20" wheels, and they are downsized to like 18" to make the tires look bigger.

I know this may not be why you're doing it, but I haven't read the entire thread.

my car (well the SR5s and Trails) come with 17s as well.

17/18s would provide more protection w/ a higher sidewall and a more comfortable ride.

If you're worried about ride comfort, my truck came with Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenzas. They ride great and have handled all less than perfect driving I've thrown at it in two years of use.

You're talking about 1.5 inches or less extra sidewall compared to stock. I just can't see it being worth it.
