Would you want to be the number one overall pick and get the biggest money but go to the worst team, or would you prefer to go the Dak Prescott rout and get middle round money and go to a competitive team?

Before they left, you could have shipped me to San Diego for league minimum.

take the money

4th round pick can have their career ended just as easy
as the 1st rounder but the first rounder has first round $$

I'd take the JaMarcus route all day. With the new salary limits, probably prefer to go to a competitor.

I'd be the kicker, though, so it really wouldn't matter I guess.

True but I would argue that Dak is safer behind the Cowboy's OL than he would be in Cleveland

I would want to be first overall to get the most guaranteed money as possible. You never know how your career will go.. Last year the Cowboys actually picked 4th overall and the careers of the first two picks from last year are still uncertain... So I would rather get the money upfront and take my chances and hope the team who drafts me is working to improve... Unless Cleveland is picking #1.. Then I don't know.

Last couple picks of the first round.

Still 1st round pick, going to a good team most likely.

How far back in draft before free agent is a better deal. 5th round.
