Where to purchase notary stamp/seal in BR?

Where's the best place to do this? Office Depot?

Office Depot but they'll have to order it. Online may be cheaper and possibly just as fast.

How much do they typically run? I see stamps are between $25-$40. I'm not seeing the seals on office depot website though

I'm guessing he's talking about the notary exam. I wouldn't know. Didn't have to take it.

Attorneys are exempt from it. I've heard it's hard as hell though.

why would attorneys be exempt?

Yes i was asking about the notary exam. Thinking about becoming a notary for extra cash. Dont know anything about it, but the lady i use charges 25 bucks a pop and she does between 10-15 a week. Sounds like easy cash.

Sorry for the highjack.

The law says we are. I mean we do have to be admitted to practice. Which means you passed the bar exam.

Non-attorney notaries have to take an exam. It was formerly a Parrish specific exam, with ability to practice in reciprocal Parishes. Now you can take a Statewide exam. It used to be harder because local Attorneys administered the test. Now it is uniform.

A Non-Attorney Notary doesn't need a stamp, your signature is your stamp; problem is most other people and states don't know this or require it, so the stamp saves a lot of problems. However, your are required to print your name and number on the documents. I have an ink stamp and use an embossed seal. It saves a lot of issues.

we take the bar exam, so it's not really 'exempt.' good luck on the test. when you pass get two sets of stamps and seals. one for the car and one for the office. if you want to save money, skip the seal. it's not necessary anymore.

If you're an attorney, what the hell are you posting on TD at 4 am on a Thursday for?
